Cookie Policy
Last updated: April 21, 2026
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how DailyMuse, operated by dp.vision ("we", "us", or "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies when you use our Service at dailymuse.app.
We believe in transparency and minimal data collection. DailyMuse currently uses only essential storage mechanisms required for the Service to function. We do not use any third-party tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.
3. What We Use
DailyMuse uses only strictly essential storage mechanisms. These are required for the Service to function and cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | localStorage | Supabase authentication token. Keeps you logged in between visits. | Until logout or expiry |
| sb-*-auth-token-code-verifier | localStorage | PKCE code verifier for secure OAuth authentication flow. | Until auth completes |
| User preferences | localStorage | Stores your UI preferences (e.g., theme, onboarding state). | Persistent |
4. Optional (Consent-Based)
We ask for your explicit consent before enabling any non-essential storage. You can change your choice at any time using the button below.
| Category | What it does | Provider |
|---|---|---|
| Analytics | Anonymous error tracking and session replay (all text masked, media blocked) so we can reproduce bugs. 10% sample rate; 100% for sessions with errors. | Sentry (EU region) |
| Marketing | Reserved for future advertising pixels. Currently unused. | — |
Change your preferences at any time. Your choice is stored locally on your device — no account needed.
5. What We Do Not Use
DailyMuse does not use:
- Google Analytics, Plausible, Mixpanel, Amplitude — no product analytics of any kind.
- Advertising pixels: No Google Ads, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or any retargeting technology.
- Third-party tracking cookies: No cross-site tracking of any kind.
- Social media widgets: No embedded widgets that set cookies.
- Fingerprinting: No browser or device fingerprinting.
6. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers for hosting and functionality. These providers may set their own essential cookies:
- Vercel: May set essential cookies for load balancing and edge network routing. These are strictly functional and do not track users.
- Supabase: Authentication tokens are stored in localStorage (as described above). No additional cookies are set by Supabase in our implementation.
7. Managing Cookies and Local Storage
Since we only use essential storage, disabling it may prevent the Service from functioning correctly. However, you have the following options:
Browser Settings
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies and local storage through their settings. You can typically:
- View and delete existing cookies and local storage data.
- Block all cookies (this will prevent login and break the Service).
- Set your browser to notify you when a cookie is set.
Instructions for common browsers:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions
Clearing DailyMuse Data
To clear all DailyMuse data from your browser, visit dailymuse.app and use your browser's developer tools (usually F12) to clear localStorage for this site, or use your browser's "Clear site data" feature.
8. Future Changes
If we add new non-essential categories (e.g. a marketing pixel), we will:
- Update this Cookie Policy to reflect the changes.
- Bump the consent version, which re-opens the banner so your prior choice is reconfirmed against the updated categories.
- Never activate the new category without your explicit, informed consent.
9. Legal Basis
Essential storage is lawful under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC, as amended by 2009/136/EC) — strictly necessary cookies and storage are exempt from the consent requirement.
All other categories (Analytics, Marketing) rely on your explicit consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 5(3) ePrivacy. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
The processing of any personal data associated with these storage mechanisms is governed by our Privacy Policy.
